Under the motto “Wilo brings the future”, the pump experts from Dortmund won the German Innovation Award 2018. The Stratos MAXO is the smartest heating pump in the world with built-in intelligence, far beyond the usual high-efficiency pumps, says Dr. Markus Beukenberg, CTO of Wilo and co-author of the MIPLM case study WILO. The Stratos MAXO has a particularly high degree of connectivity, which is used for the control and direct online access to operating messages or settings of operating states. In addition, there is an independent system optimization with the latest sensor technology and control functionality. The Stratos MAXO is part of a case study on outstanding IP management of the MIPLM and it was designed and protected with IP design: MIPLM Industry Case Study WILO.

The German Design Council, which was initiated by the German Bundestag and has been supporting the German industry for more than 60 years, honored the winners of the German Innovation Awards on June 6, 2018 as part of a festive gala in the Museum of Technology in Berlin. More than 250 invited guests from business, politics and the media were present at the award ceremony.

The German industry is in the middle of the digital transformation and the case studies of the MIPLM describe the IP design method in practice.
