Kick-off for the case study project CEIPI-I3PM with the presentation of the Norwegian Patent Office at the MIPLM
On January 31, 2023, Kathrine Myhre, Director General of the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO), gave a dinner speech for the new class of the CEIPI master course in IP management. Participants from 15 nations were able to experience how important clusters are for national innovation systems and what role an active patent office plays in the innovation success of the economy. The importance of social media, especially LinkedIn for the digital transformation of the cooperation of experts in the IP system, was particularly emphasized.
The case study initiative on quality in IP management is carried out as a cooperation project between the CEIPI IP Business Academy and the International Institute for IP Management I3PM: https://i3pm.org/task-force-industry-case-study-program/
The case study series is part of the research project by Nora Rüter, IP manager at Grimme AG, at CEIPI on the quality of IP management and the status of the implementation of ISO56005/DIN77006. The academic supervision of the case study project is in the hands of Prof. Dr. Alexander Wurzer, director of the academic IP management training of the CEIPI IP Business Academy as well as head of the joint EPO certificate courses at CEIPI and chairman of the working committee for DIN77006. The case studies will be conducted in cooperation with the Committee for Quality in IP Management of the International Institute for IP Management I3PM under the responsibility of the designated Committee Chairs:

The results of the case study project will be incorporated into various current training programs in IP management:
- the IP management training at CEIPI in the Master for Intellectual Property Law and Management (MIPLM)
- the joint EPO/CEIPI university certificate courses in IP management for SME/start-ups, digital technologies and corporate sustainability
