Value Determination for Value-in-use Situations
The main feature of the value-in-use concept is its independence from an external third party. The value concept treats the source of the cash flows to be determined as an abstract market that must be modelled with sufficiently available information. The value is realised via the value chain in the IP-owning company. The model boundaries are therefore centred around the IP-owning company. The internal complementary goods of the IP-owning company are decisive for the ability to create an economic benefit from this IP.
