How can new digital business models be designed and protected? How can digital patent be used to protect solutions in IoT and Industry 4.0? These are the topics of the workshop using current industry best practice case studies from renowned companies: Schneider, Rittal, Doka/Umdasch Group Ventures, Claas and Vorwerk have designed and protected their digital business models with digital patents. The German standard DIN77006 for the Quality in IP-Management acts as a specification of the DIN ISO 9001:2015. The two-day seminar takes place in Amsterdam on the 14th and 15th November 2019.

Intellectual Property (IP) offers a way to protect oneself in digitally transforming business eco-systems. If one succeeds in owning a legally enforceable exclusivity for a customer’s benefit in one’s own range of services, then premium prices can be enforced, and market positions can be shaped in digital business models. How to proceed is determined by the 360 ° IP-Strategy. This seminar will show practice-oriented methods for SMEs and tools to expand and secure the technical advantage over the competitors in the long term.
